Some Important updates from Hasbro UK:

[x] There is no official statement at this time regarding the ZombieStrike range.

[x] All blogs/bloggers that signed the NDA at the Toy Fair are still bound to its limitations until further notice from Hasbro.

Nothing we didn't really already know, but it's good to have this heads up - Please share with other fans folks to make sure no one gets caught out and in hot water.

Tek Recon updates on: Kickstarter, Products and Girl Power!

Okay folks! Been away from the net as I had a check-up appointment for my back problem and spent the day with the family.

So what's new? This is a project I'm working on with Tek Recon so it's exciting for me to see what's going down not only as a fan but as a blogger :)

BasicNerf down with injury, so here's a few foam battles CN style

After a catch up with my buddy Jason who runs BasicNerf, he told me he picked up a jumpers knee injury. Having had friends with the same injury, it means he may well be out of action for a month or so! I ask all Nerf fans to join me in wishing him a speedy recovery!

Props to Urban Taggers - more ZombieStrike Hammershot pics

Props to my bro Marty over at Urban Taggers for finding more pics on the upcoming new Nerf ZombieStrike range - featuring the first of many blasters and NEW melee weapons - The Hammershot:

Nerf Zombie Strike Hammershot video pops up on Baidu

Not one to wait around, I asked my source to do a video. He has thrown up a video! This evaluation of it, I guess you could say it's a video review of sort.

The range seems to be consistent with Elite Strongarm, and he was firing flat. A little sad no fanning motion, but I have been told it has an intense rate of fire in this motion. I guess once you get the motion down, it will be.

Aesthetically it looks awesome, a lot of fans have said they prefer to band their own blasters with hockey tape or the like. I think that's an awesome idea personally. I have to say as a Fallout fan, this is right up my alley :)

Looks so awesome, can't wait to see more. More pics here

New Nerf range - ZombieStrike; Hammershot pistol + internals - HvZ pistol flip on Nerf Rebelle

Those good folks over at Baidu just can't stop giving us NIC fans a taste of whats to come... here we go!

Looks like we have a brand new Nerf brand kicking things off with their own version of the Nerf Rebelle Wildshot pistol - called Hammershot Orange Cattle pistol. A mouthful yes - but what eye candy folks! I believe this is their response to a % of boys not liking the paintjobs from the Rebelle line.

Also, it looks like Nerf are following the market of HvZ and catering a range for these gamers. Zing Toys recently launched their own Z-Zombie Bow, and it seems to have some popularity.

It also appears to be Sub Elite range for boys yes. Girls get the Rebelle line, this is the answer for boys.

I believe that recent light of Zing Toys breaking into the HvZ market with the Z-Curve Zombie bow, Hasbro have to meet this market with their own brand. HvZ might be too close to school shootings etc, but bottom line > conscience/bad press. Also lets remember some males liked the colour scheme of Rebelle, most didn't. So they get to remould the blasters and hit a new market. 2 birds 1 stone.

So what do we know so far? Well sources report that it has an extremely high rate of fire. There are accessories that go along with it that are just as awesome looking (finally!). Stay tuned for more images :)

We get a good look at the internal and outside aesthetics:

Star Trek - Into Bloc-ness... the Hasbro Kre-O effect

With the imminent and much wanted to be viewed in an IMAX near you on May 17, is the new Star Trek- Into Darkness' movie. The crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise have always stuck together, but now they can do it literally.

Hasbro, Paramount, MGM in line for a Smackdown

Say what MLD? Yeap, Hasbro' legal eagles are on top of their game, and this time it's their cineworld that needs defending!

Good job they got the right man in :D

The "G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra" script co-writers David Elliot and Paul Lovett have sued Paramount, Hasbro, MGM and producer Lorenzo Di Bonaventura, seeking $23 million for copyright infringement. In the suit, filed in California federal court May 3, the writers allege that the studios and producers stole many of their ideas for the sequel to "Cobra," "G.I. Joe: Retaliation."

Summer Vapor Blaster Fun & Interview with Razor Inc!

Vapor Blaster by Razor

With Summer fast upon us (and BBQ water fights on the cards lets face it) what better reason to continue my series of 'Summer Fun' articles with a much needed look at Vapor Blaster.

Aesthetically they look funky and come with a fresh take on ammo - a water based Gel Ammo. One questions is popping up straight away for me already! My main concern? This could get messy... and in a big battle fast.

What is Vapor Blaster? Check the video below:

New Xploderz BlasterPro Magnum 250 TV commercial

Thanks to Jason over at Basic Nerf on this one. Honestly, i'm not sure where i'm sitting on this one... I might tip towards more miss than hit... let me know what you think!

Tek Recon launch KICKSTARTER 9th May 2013!

One of the most anticipated product launches of 2013 hits KICKSTARTER May 9th!

An exciting heads up from Graeme at Tek Recon about some news in the world of blasters! If you recall an interview I did with them back in April of this year, they are a brand new toy blaster company who have been making some big waves since their debut at New York Toy Fair 2013.

Yehaw! Get some EAT down in the Lone Star State!

Thanks for the heads up recently from Jason over at Basic Nerf on the Elite Alpha Trooper popping up at Target inventory.

I got a number of emails from US Nerfers this morning - namely the hottest (and only one to confirm location) was from Ronald G in Texas, saying:
Target got EATs in stock man! Picked up for an absolute STEAL 4 Alphas for $27.96 (MLD: that's $6.99 a blaster). Don't know if it's a deal or what, but me and my buddies cleaned them out lmfao, HvZ what you gon do what you gon do!

He's pretty excited, and holy smoke Batman, $6.99 a blaster? Makes me want to cry. Phoenix, AZ folks have also started picking them up, so heads up to all you US fans, the inventory code to hand to a Target employee to check if it is in stock is:

DCPI number (087-11-0118)

Hey MLD what's going on? WHY so cheap?
- well Target have screwed up, by recycling the OLD DCPI code of the N-Strike Alpha Trooper for the new 2013 Elite Alpha Trooper (EAT). So they think they are selling you the old crappy one, but you are walking away with 4 for the price of 1 hahah (EAT should be $19.99-$29.99)
