NEW go-white Nerf Elite Mission App cradle?

So what have we got here? A new snazzy looking go-white Nerf Elite Mission App cradle?

Thanks to reader Matush Khemry for emailing this over.

Well this just popped up on Amazon.com - Nerf N-Strike Elite Battle App Tactical Rail Mount Accessory. Oddly enough, we see it on sale by a 3rd party seller? Toys Online to be specific. What is even more mind boggling is the fact it's priced at $59.97. Whether this is a new release from Nerf or a 3rd party license item (struggling to justify it!) or as some people who have emailed in have given their opinion as a fan kit. If Nerf are looking to release this themselves, then it looks cool enough, and I would hold out for this. Might I even suggest it's the Android version of the Battle App cradle? That would be a suitable suggestion, if the Product description didn't say...

"Product Description

From the Manufacturer

Turn your N-Strike Elite blaster into a battle cam with the Battle App Tactical Rail Mount. Download the free Nerf Battle app to your iPhone or iPod Touch and then attach your device to your blaster (devices and blasters sold separately) with the Tactical Rail Mount. Now you're ready to review mission briefs, activate the rangefinder to gauge the distance to your target and even record the battle, all from your blaster. Nerf and all related characters are trademarks of Hasbro. iPad, iPod touch and iPhone are trademarks of Apple Inc., registered in the U.S. and other countries."

It certainly doesn't look bleached or fan made/adapted/modified. I do however have to say that I like it :) I even like the white stripe on the Nerf Rapidstrike on the box art hah. What doesn't make sense is the box art showing a blue mount, yet the product image shows the Nerf Elite White? Nerf have said on a number of occasions that the Android unit is in the works. Whatever the case, it looks funky enough like the Nerf Rebelle Mission App scheme. Maybe this is the new iPhone5 cradle?

Be good to know what you folks are thinking - one to add to your Xmas list?

Also in Nerf News, we have a new Nerf Elite Rayven Stinger?

  1. Too much money. Give me empty tactical rail attachments for like $5 at the most and I'll be happy. I've had to much of tracking down people who don't want their retaliator grip.

  2. Does anyone else find it annoying that the Rampage Shield keeps showing up in Marketing. I noticed it when I purchased the current Blue Battle App Rail Mount. Nerf just keeps disappointing with accessories.
