New Nerf range - ZombieStrike; Hammershot pistol + internals - HvZ pistol flip on Nerf Rebelle

Those good folks over at Baidu just can't stop giving us NIC fans a taste of whats to come... here we go!

Looks like we have a brand new Nerf brand kicking things off with their own version of the Nerf Rebelle Wildshot pistol - called Hammershot Orange Cattle pistol. A mouthful yes - but what eye candy folks! I believe this is their response to a % of boys not liking the paintjobs from the Rebelle line.

Also, it looks like Nerf are following the market of HvZ and catering a range for these gamers. Zing Toys recently launched their own Z-Zombie Bow, and it seems to have some popularity.

It also appears to be Sub Elite range for boys yes. Girls get the Rebelle line, this is the answer for boys.

I believe that recent light of Zing Toys breaking into the HvZ market with the Z-Curve Zombie bow, Hasbro have to meet this market with their own brand. HvZ might be too close to school shootings etc, but bottom line > conscience/bad press. Also lets remember some males liked the colour scheme of Rebelle, most didn't. So they get to remould the blasters and hit a new market. 2 birds 1 stone.

So what do we know so far? Well sources report that it has an extremely high rate of fire. There are accessories that go along with it that are just as awesome looking (finally!). Stay tuned for more images :)

We get a good look at the internal and outside aesthetics:

Anyone agree similar to the Snapfire 8, in terms of plunger config?

According to sources, there are some other hot rumour blasters to be shortly released along with this line. Happy days! What we saying on the internals folks? Let me know! A LOT of mod potential here no doubt about that.

  1. This is awesome, Although, If this is a third party brand, then why is there a Nerf logo on it?

    1. The rebelle line uses elite darts and gets elite ranges so this gets 75ft ranges

    3. Extremely high rate of fire but so few darts, I doubt it's user could last long in HvZ

  3. This blaster has a generally high mod potential!

New Spring and possible rebarrel, that would be very very effective. Just be careful to not exceed the breaking stress of the priming lever and you'll be great. I also really like the aesthetics of the blaster. Finally we get a single handed springer with good aesthetics.

    1. I agree, the mould is killer, and the mod potential is really something. Are you tempted to do a repaint?

  5. Mld, are you able to comment on any said accessories or are they re molds of rebelle ones. Also please talk about the centurion app cradle scope (urbantaggers)! If you can't cause of n.d.a. I understand. :(

  6. The plunger config is nothing like the Snapfire. For a start the Snapfire uses an extension spring to power the plunger. This does not. Secondly, the Snapfire has the ability to vary the spring load, enabling one to vary the power if each shot. This does not. Altough the spring is located in the handle like the Jolt or the Triad, the plunger is still in the main body of the blaster. As far as I'm aware, there has never been anything like the internals of the HammerShot. The fact that you can prime it by pulling the 'hammer'? Very clever Hasbro. Very clever indeed.

    1. Actually, this is very similar to the snapfire. The only major differences are the type of spring and what primes it.

  7. This was about as inevitable as a Transformers Starscream figure getting recolored into Thundercracker and Skywarp. I just couldn't imagine Nerf consigning new and unique technical designs to its "girls only" line; I think the plan was to remold/redeco them into a boys' version all along, and with zombies being popular and HvZ being a universally known game for Nerf fans, a Zombie line makes sense.

  10. Your commenting on the Snapfire 8 Plunger Similiarty was making me hope that Hasbro was reusing the Snapfire 8 Firing mechanism to make a single/double-action revolver.

    Unfortunately it's only single action.

  11. I think that it will be a special edition for Halloween seeing as it's got zombie in the name...
