Yehaw! Get some EAT down in the Lone Star State!

Thanks for the heads up recently from Jason over at Basic Nerf on the Elite Alpha Trooper popping up at Target inventory.

I got a number of emails from US Nerfers this morning - namely the hottest (and only one to confirm location) was from Ronald G in Texas, saying:
Target got EATs in stock man! Picked up for an absolute STEAL 4 Alphas for $27.96 (MLD: that's $6.99 a blaster). Don't know if it's a deal or what, but me and my buddies cleaned them out lmfao, HvZ what you gon do what you gon do!

He's pretty excited, and holy smoke Batman, $6.99 a blaster? Makes me want to cry. Phoenix, AZ folks have also started picking them up, so heads up to all you US fans, the inventory code to hand to a Target employee to check if it is in stock is:

DCPI number (087-11-0118)

Hey MLD what's going on? WHY so cheap?
- well Target have screwed up, by recycling the OLD DCPI code of the N-Strike Alpha Trooper for the new 2013 Elite Alpha Trooper (EAT). So they think they are selling you the old crappy one, but you are walking away with 4 for the price of 1 hahah (EAT should be $19.99-$29.99)

  9. Just picked up three, in Deptford, NJ, for $5.99 a piece. They weren't on the shelf, yet. An employee looked up the code listed above and got them from the back. Thanks for the heads-up!

  11. I just bought a whole case (three blasters) from Saint Cloud for $5.99 a piece. I did get a chance to talk with a manager and it looks like the old n-strike CS-18 sale price was rolled over to the new Elite Alpha Trooper. It is my guess that this will corrected may 15th. Until then, let the good times roll!

  12. I've noticed a lot of quirky things since buying 6 of them. I had to swap the plunger end cap with my rampage just to get a tornado strike stock to fit, the paintjob on the box has more orange around the clip, the 25rd drum seems to go too deep into the blaster and causes jams, the air restrictor has two large prongs instead of three, plus the blaster is just plain loud - even fired empty. Despite all of this, it is still my new favorite!

  13. This is so messed up, I checked my local Target and the entire inventory was already sold before they hit the sales floor. Seems the ebay scalpers bought them all up for $5.99 a pop. Some people like me just want ONE for themselves! I refuse to pay quadruple price on ebay, i've been waiting for months for this blaster, looks like it will be an even longer wait than I expected.

  14. By now I'm sure you've realized that Target done goofed and recycled the old DCPI number from the original Alpha Trooper. Because of this, the new EATs are being sold for the old AT clearance price of ~$6. They probably won't be on the shelves (weren't in any of my stores) but all the stores have a limited stock in the back which they will fetch for you if you give them the DCPI. Talk to the guy at the electronics counter, and get your six dollar EAT today.
