Some Hasbro UK updates on leaked blasters, NDA and ZombieStrike

Some Important updates from Hasbro UK:

[x] No retailer (eBay or direct reseller) has any official word, stock or release dates for any of the leaked blasters making the rounds on the internet right now. They recommend all fans refrain from engaging any of these listings and resellers to avoid complications.

[x] There is no official statement at this time regarding the ZombieStrike range.

[x] All blogs/bloggers that signed the NDA at the Toy Fair are still bound to its limitations until further notice from Hasbro.

Nothing we didn't really already know, but it's good to have this heads up - Please share with other fans folks to make sure no one gets caught out and in hot water.

Waiting on some more info, will post it as I get it!

Cheers

  1. What hot water? Anyone who hasn't specifically signed an NDA is free to promote any publicly available material they find.

Once it goes public Hasbro can take action again those who leaked it, but nothing against those who spread it after the fact.

Don't let them bully you otherwise.

    1. I think they are alluding to the purchase of stolen goods from their factories pre release and fans being misled by stock scams.

    2. but I believe that if Hasbro releases info about about its new blasters before the bloggers get to it like something like 'Nerf zombies hammerstrike, out 10/9/2013' or something like that. Then that way they will no longer have people trying to find and leak unreleased blasters and also so people will know what day that blaster is actually coming out.

    3. Hasbro is obviously following the old "If you give a mouse a cookie, it's going to ask for a glass of milk" theory on this. It's better to tell people to stop searching out leaks and distance themselves from the whole spectacle... That way, when the leaks start to turn into macabre flesh-eating examples of why you don't violate NDA's... they can dust thier feet and claim plausable deniability. This whole thing is clearly a viral marketing campaign. The harder fans leak it, the more Hasbro/Nerf will punish us with elaborate and limited release patterns. Nobody will be ready for the Zombie Strike!

  2. I remember you saying that a game changing blaster is coming out this year. When the info on this blaster emerges, please post that that is the one so we all know.

  3. Hasbro needs to wake up to the realities of the 21st Century. Information wants to be free, and it will find a way to be free.

That being said, it seems to me like they should be harnessing the free press and immense excitement generated by these "leaks" online, rather than try to stifle things.

Many of us don't watch TV commercials and have Ad blockers installed, so this is how we get our info.

  4. So you are still signed to your non-disclosure agreement, then? Also, what is going on with the pin-point sights? Should I make the purchase or no?

    1. Great observation, Kitts! Theoretically, Hasbro UK just admitted that there's still significant merch which the bloggers know about from the Toy Fair which still needs to be released. Otherwise, no NDA necessary.
